London and around

Winter Wonderland Hyde Park

by Jennie Leave a Comment

The Winter Wonderland is a huge pop-up festive theme park in London's Hyde Park, returning each year. This year they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and the list of entertainment and activities is mind blowing. You can go ice skating, enjoy a glass of mulled wine at the German Christmas market (probably in that order!), whizz down an iceslide, enjoy a cup of hot … [Read more...] about Winter Wonderland Hyde Park

Family bonding over Afternoon Tea at St Ermin’s hotel, London

Luxury afternoon tea London St Ermins hotel 1

Mummy, I really love peppermint tea! -Hugo exclaimed in the car homeward bound. This made me smile, especially as he usually shies away from drinking tea.  In fact, all three of our kids do. Yet on Sunday both Angelina and Hugo chose to enjoy a pot of tea as part of their Busy Bees tea at St Ermin's hotel (where we were staying for a young 007 … [Read more...] about Family bonding over Afternoon Tea at St Ermin’s hotel, London

I tested the waters of having a day out with them in atrocious weather at the Cotswold Wildlife Park and we coped, even with Max wanting to be mobile all the time. I then took the plunge and took them camping for 5 days and 4 nights- Wednesday to Sunday-, with … [Read more...] about Dipping our toes into Camping

David Bellamy- Meeting a legend

by Mumonthebrink 2 Comments

David Bellamy at the National Camping and Caravanning week 2013

During the half term we had the pleasure of going to Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club site for the National Camping and Caravanning week (more of that later).  On the program was a nature walk led by David Bellamy.  The name didn't mean much to me, not having grown up in the UK.  However, my friend Jennie, who was joining me and the kids with her 2 littlins was beyond … [Read more...] about David Bellamy- Meeting a legend
