OnePlus 5, what I love about this mobile phone

by Mumonthebrink Leave a Comment

My dear OnePlus 5,

We’ve only been at eachother’s side for 6 months, but I’ve truly grown to love you. You came after a summer fling with an iPhone 7S- he was lovely, but you made his memories fade quickly. With you, everything seems so simple and logical.

You, my OnePlus 5 are happy to adapt to my needs, instead of asking me to bend to yours. (You are the best of Android flexibility, clarity and ease, none of the yuppy iDoitthiswayonly stuff!)

Your stamina, well, that won me over in a snap! My summer fling would wither after half a day under my gruelling schedule of keeping up with emails, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and more. All this while you keep going, well into the night, on a single charge. When you do need a boost (with a warp charge), you are back in full action so quickly that it still amazes me over and over again.

Do you know my favourite thing about you, though?

Your ability to help me capture precious memories of my family growing up, of us having fun. You are with me all the time and with just 2 presses of a button,( which you let me set up,) I’m ready to film or photograph the instant I don’t want to ever forget.

You do it so well too: you’ve beaten the husband’s super new, shiny (and ridiculously expensive) tenth generation toy numerous times in quality, especially when it comes to low light and fast moving kids. Through your lenses, I seem to look so much prettier and younger too. 😉

When I take pictures, I’ll often have people admiring the results, asking which I product you are: I smile as I explain that you are the outsider, stealthily taking on the market with a focus on quality above brand building. I mean, just look at the pictures I took last week at the blog retreat– unedited, uncorrected…that’s just you, doing your job really well.

Oh OnePlus 5, you’ve surprised me in many other ways too:
I never realised how helpful you’ll be to travel with! You are strong in picking up signals, even in desolate places where others find little to none.

On our travels you give me an option to take my home number and pop in a local SIM too, so I get the best of both worlds. As a traveller, you have totally converted me to the dual sim fan club.

My dear OnePlus 5, I hope your longevity will match your beautiful lines and amazing features, because I hope to have you in my pocket, bag or hand for some time still.

For now, I will be using you for most of my pictures and videos and boy, do we have an adventure full summer lined up! I mean, for one, we’ll be homeless vagabonds! 😀

Yours sincerely,

Monika

PS I know your little brother or sister, the OnePlus 6 is soon to be born, but I feel I’m going to stick with you a little longer yet.
