After signing up for the Skydiving challenge I got a phone call from the company doing the skydive telling me I’m too heavy, by about 2 stone, i.e. 18 kg more than their maximum weight for women.
I was shocked, devastated and very upset to hear this! Gutted that I’d psyched myself up to do the jump and then be told I can’t because of something I don’t like about myself anyway.
In that split second I did the sums- 11 weeks left and 18kg to loose. That’s just about doable …with lots of will power and exercise.
I asked them to keep me on the list, saying I will be at their max weight by the jump.
What have I done?!
My challenge to conquer my vertigo has morphed into a double challenge- loose 2 (UK) stones/18 kg/28 lb AND jump from a plane. It’s 11 weeks of grueling work, not “just” a day of exhilaration.
I have images of the Biggest Loser type bootcamp and starving myself.
I need help!
I already do a weekly pilates class and have been looking at going swimming once or twice a week for ages… now I need to Just Do It!
Please spare me a thought, a comment and some donations to The Lullaby Trust to support me!
Nudge me on Facebook and Twitter.
Join me in my efforts?
It would mean a lot to me if you could sponsor my efforts even with a £1…or more. ;o)
